Frequently asked questions

Am I regular or goofy?

Regular means left foot forward; goofy means right foot forward. A common test: have someone gently push you from behind when you're not expecting it — the foot you step forward with to catch yourself is usually your lead foot. Which foot you'd slide on ice with, or kick a ball with, are other rough guides.

What is a duck stance?

A duck stance has the front binding angled positive (toes pointing forward-out) and the back binding angled negative (toes pointing back-out), e.g. +15°/-15°. It allows comfortable riding in both directions (regular and switch), which is why it's standard for freestyle and park riding.
