Which netball positions can shoot?
Only the Goal Shooter (GS) and Goal Attack (GA), and only from inside the shooting circle in the attacking third. All other positions are restricted from scoring, even if they enter the circle (which most cannot).
Which position covers the most ground?
The Centre (C) — it's the only position allowed in three of the four thirds (everywhere except the two shooting circles) and takes the centre pass to restart play. Centres typically cover the most distance and need the highest aerobic fitness.
