Frequently asked questions
What's a good centre pass win rate?
Elite netball teams typically win 55-65% of their own centre passes — meaning they convert the centre pass into a goal a majority of the time. Below 50% suggests either the centre pass structure or the timing of players' movement off the whistle needs work.
Why track turnovers separately from interceptions?
They measure opposite sides of possession: interceptions are a defensive stat (winning the ball back), while turnovers conceded are an offensive stat (losing the ball through your own error, like a bad pass or held ball). A team can have great interception numbers but still lose the possession battle if their own turnovers are high — tracking both separately shows exactly where to focus training.
