What is Archery Classification (AGB)?

The Archery GB grade system from Archer (beginner) through to Grandmaster Bowman (elite).

Archery GB (AGB) uses a classification system for competitive recurve, compound and barebow archers. Grades run from Archer (entry level) through 3rd Class, 2nd Class, 1st Class, Bowman, Master Bowman and Grandmaster Bowman. Classifications are earned by submitting three qualifying scores (from defined rounds) shot under club or competition conditions, and must be requalified annually. Score thresholds vary by bow type, gender and age group. Grandmaster Bowman is awarded to fewer than 1% of competitive archers.
