What is The T (Squash)?

The central court position at the intersection of the service box lines — the most powerful tactical position.

The T in squash is the intersection of the two service box lines in the middle of the court, forming a T-shape. Controlling the T gives the best coverage of all four court positions — from the T, a player can reach any corner of the court with the same distance and time. The core tactical principle of squash is to hit shots that force your opponent away from the T while you return to it. Players who consistently control the T win the majority of points at club and professional level.
