What is Three-Dart Average?

The standard darts performance metric — average points scored per three darts thrown.

The three-dart average = total points scored ÷ total darts thrown × 3. PDC touring professionals average 95-110 in competition; county-level players 70-85; recreational players 40-65. Phil Taylor’s career average was approximately 100; his highest recorded average in a match exceeded 118. The three-dart average is the most cited statistic in professional darts, used for ranking, seeding and performance comparison. A 100+ average is the benchmark of an elite player.
